After months of bullying the Fairhope librarians, library board members, local officials, and Fairhope residents, Moms For Liberty Baldwin succeeded in getting the library’s state funding removed. The extremist-stacked state library board under Chairman John Wahl’s leadership, made the funding decision based only on the baseless accusations & outright disinformation from a handful of MFL members, some of whom weren’t Fairhope residents. The Board ignored the voices of actual Fairhope taxpayers and library users, who had defended their library in public comments and letters.
